Precautions that we are taking at Windsor Dental
· We wait 15 minutes in- between patients before using the operatory.
· We spray down everything in each operatory, after every patient.
· We reduce the chance of spray through high power suction
· Our filtration system is an approved mechanical filtration system that removes harmful particles from the air.
· Our cleaning company is using ADA approved cleaning materials.
· Staff is wearing the ADA and CDC recommended PPE gear- masks, disposable jackets, shields and gloves.
Based on Governor Cuomo's sudden announcement, that dental offices are now open, we are getting inundated with calls. Please be patient with us as we work to get every patient scheduled, while we adhere to all safety and distancing guidelines.
We haven't forgotten you and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Dr. Steven P. Stern and the Windsor Dental Center Team
We have all gone through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We are still open on a limited basis, for emergencies, per the Governor of NY; hopefully not past mid-June. While our commitment to our patients has certainly not changed, some of our practices have.
Our patient check-in and check-out practices have changed a bit and will continue even after the official reopening, until further notice. Patients with appointments are asked to check the pre-appointment text they receive, which gives them a number to text to when they arrive to the office. An assistant will greet them at their car, where they will sign a release form and have their temperature taken. Upon check out, the assistant will show them back out to their car. For those patients without texting capabilities, please call the office at 845-565-6677 and inform the staff member who takes the call that you have arrived and where you are parked. There will be no front staff interaction or check-in.
Having said that, the front staff is still reviewing insurance coverage and estimated out of pocket responsibility. Moving forward, one of our front team members will call you to schedule your visit, review your estimated out of pocket responsibility, and collect it over the telephone, prior to your visit.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during these trying times.

We at Windsor Dental Center, as mandated by our governor are treating patients in pain on emergency basis only at this time.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our office will be closed until at least mid-June. We will be contacting our patients to reschedule all appointments that were canceled due to the coronavirus once the governor of New York and the ADA gives us permission to reopen. We do have a reduced staff taking phone calls and scheduling those patients in pain. Those patients not in pain will be scheduled when we reopen. Thank you for your understanding and be well.
We care about our staff and patients safety and their well-being. While our office continues to be closed for non-essential treatment, per the NY State Dental Society, we understand that some patients may need emergency care. For that reason, we will have a surgeon and Endodontist on staff with limited hours to accommodate patients with urgent dental issues including pain from wisdom teeth and root canals. If you are in pain please call the office and leave a message as our phones continue to be monitored and somebody will get back to you.
Click on the link below for additional information.
Windsor Dental Center is proactively closing the office for the next two weeks, as we believe this is the right thing to do for both our patients and our staff. Other states have mandated dental office closings, and my feeling is we will be instructed to do so in the near future.
We are concerned for everyone’s safety and will continue to closely monitor information from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the ADA (American Dental Association). During this situation, we will communicate any updates regarding our office, via email blasts, as well as postings on our Facebook page and Windsor Dental website.
In the case of a dire emergency, patients should go to their local hospital.
Thank you for your understanding and take the suggested precautions so that we can get through this soon.
